Atletico Madrid winger Simao Sabrosa admits he wants to play in the Premiership.

The Portugal international almost joined Liverpool two years ago and told El Mundo: "I would like to play in England once my contract with Atletico is over, but this may never happen.

"Their dynamic football and most of all the atmosphere attracts me a lot. And when I was in Portugal several clubs asked for me but nothing happened.

"I am happy at this club and within the city. And I believe the team can be even better, but they need to keep their players if they want to make it.

"We will have to see what the situation of the club will be (at the end of the season), and if they need to sell or not."
