Zakaria Bakkali has boosted Liverpool's hopes of signing him this summer by rejecting a new deal from PSV Eindhoven.
Football Direct News suggests that the 18-year old Belgian winger has turned down an extension offer from the Dutch club and could be on the way out at the end of the season.
Bakkali has attracted interest from Liverpool, as well as Barcelona and AC Milan, and this latest news is sure to have all three clubs on alert.
The one-time Belgium international is out of contract next summer but could be let go if PSV receive a nice offer for his services according to sporting director Marcel Brands.
"We have done our best, we will not to run after him," Brands told Voetbal International.
"We offered a great proposal and that is all we can do. It is up to him and we understand if he is happy or not."
It is believed that Liverpool have been buoyed by the fact Bakkali is prepared to leave Eindhoven with reports suggesting the Reds will go after the talented teenager in the summer transfer window.
