Liverpool target Donis Avdijaj has turned his back on Germany.
The exciting Schalke prospect has committed his international future to Albania in a surprise decision.
"It's my decision and I guess it is a surprise. My choice is Albania," he told Koha.
"It is my final decision. I'd rather have my people behind me."
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is a big fan of Avdijaj and the Reds have scouted the attacking midfielder regularly over the past 18 months.
