Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey is pushing to clinch a move to Liverpool. The Daily Mail says Dempsey has edged closer to a move to Liverpool after pulling out of Fulham's pre-season training camp in Liverpool.

The American forward is desperate to leave Craven Cottage this summer in what would likely be the last big move his career.

Liverpool are playing hardball over the transfer because Dempsey has just entered the final year of his contract, and the Reds believe they will eventually secure his services for £5million. Fulham want just under double that figure.
