Liverpool are chasing two Premier League players in their attempts to bolster the squad for next season.

The Reds are being linked to two centre-backs - James Tarkowski from Burnley and Jamaal Lascelles, who is the Newcastle captain.

It is likely to club would prefer to add one of the players in the transfer window to help increase their defensive depth.
