Liverpool target Brandt: A move abroad? It’s…

Bayer Leverkusen's Julian Brandt is certainly not opposed to trying his luck abroad.

The 20-year-old German winger continues to be linked with a potential summer move to Liverpool which would see him follow in the footsteps of PSG's Julian Draxler and Manchester City's Leroy Sane, who both left the Bundesliga at young ages.

"You can take the step (abroad), but I don't think you have to," Brandt told Deutsche Welle.

"Those that back themselves to do it have nothing in their way.

"I don't think it's a bad thing to try and find your feet abroad. Julian (Draxler) and Leroy (Sane) are the best examples of that right now. They are both young players and have huge futures ahead of them."

On his own future, Brandt added: "It's tough to say. I'm happy here and what happens next, we will see."
