Liverpool are set to take on Turkish club Trabzonspor without a key quintet of players.
The Reds meet the northeast club in Trabzon on Thursday night in the second leg of Europa League qualifying and will be without Fernando Torres, Steven Gerrard, Javier Mascherano, Maxi Rodriguez and Daniel Agger for the clash.
Non of the five travelled with the squad to the Black Sea yesterday as Roy Hodgson attempts valiantly to get his side back in form after their disappointing 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the league on Monday night.
Liverpool won the first leg over Trabzonspor 1-0 at Anfield last week but will need to improve markedly to get through to the group stage of Europe's second tier club competition.
