Liverpool have made a Bosman move for Manchester City fullback Gael Clichy.

The Daily Mail says Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is seeking greater competition for places as the club look set to embark on European football once more next season.

And Clichy has emerged as a target.

The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer after being released by City, amid reports that Liverpool have offered the former France international a two-year deal.
