Liverpool have tabled a bumper contract offer to AS Roma teen Gianluca Scamacca. The London Evening Standard says the Reds have offered 15-year-old Italian sensation Scamacca a £135,000 annual salary to quit Roma.

The forward has been compared to a young Zlatan Ibrahimovic and is one of the hottest properties in Europe.

Roma are keen to hold on to Scamacca but appear powerless to stop him leaving as he is regarded as a youth player, which prevents them offering him higher wages.

Roma would have to count Scamacca as a senior player in order to keep him.
