Liverpool have expressed interest in Leicester City wing ace Riyad Mahrez.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool have made checks on the wantaway Mahrez.

The Foxes are holding out for £40m following a bid worth in excess of £21m from Roma.

While Jurgen Klopp has already added Mohamed Salah to his ranks, Mahrez's availability appears to be of interest to the Reds too.

However, it is said Liverpool have so far been deterred by the winger's valuation.

And the Reds also face competition for Mahrez from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Everton.
