Liverpool have been stunned by Porto's asking price for Ruben Neves.

The Reds recently scouted Neves earlier this month and were weighing up making an offer for the 17 year-old before next week's transfer deadline.

But Liverpool have been quoted a price of £29m by Porto to buy the teen.

Neves, a defensive midfielder, carries that figure as a buyout clause in his current contract.
