Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has once again been hit by fitness problems, according to Daily Mirror.

The injury-plagued striker is not expected to play any part in the Reds' friendly against Chelsea in LA.

The report adds that the England international has not suffered any serious injury setback, but club physios want him to take extra training sessions before exposing him to a match situation.

The 26-year-old, who has struggled with consistent fitness issues for the last two seasons, is expected to be available for selection for Saturday's friendly against AC Milan.
