Liverpool striker Nathan Eccleston was on the mark for Charlton Athletic in their 2-0 defeat of Plymouth.
Eccleston struck on debut for the Addicks.
Charlton boss Chris Powell said: "It was a fantastic finish for young Nathan who has come from Liverpool.
"It was a relief for everyone, all the Charlton fans that were listening and that were watching and of course relief for myself too.
"It has been a surreal week and it felt a bit surreal walking out there today, but I know it's for real and three points is a great start."
