Liverpool striker Andy Carroll hopes England coach Fabio Capello selects him for the friendly against Spain.

Capello will this week name his squad for the glitzy friendly at Wembley on Saturday November 12 - and Carroll is eager to add to his three caps.

The 22-year-old said: "It would be nice to be involved with England and to get a run-out in the friendly."
