Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has rejected a loan offer from Olympiakos.

The Daily Star says the Greek outfit have offered to pay the 24-year-old's wages in full until the end of the season. But Balotelli has turned down the possibility.

Balotelli has disappointed since his £16m summer move to Merseyside, failing to register a single Premier League goal to his name.

In December Kop boss Brendan Rodgers admitted the Italian's playing style doesn't fit in with Liverpool's high intensity ethos.
