Liverpool strike late to move out of bottom three

Maxi Rodriguez hit an 86th-minute winner as Liverpool won at Bolton to move out of the relegation zone.

For Bolton this was their eighth successive defeat at the hands of the Reds.

Torres had another subdued game and missed two first-half chances to open the scoring, while Steven Gerrard shot wide.

The Wanderers tried to respond but the Liverpool rearguard had little problem in repelling their attempts.

This win is Liverpool's first on the road since they won at Burnley in April and gives them confidence for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Napoli.
