Liverpool are stepping up their bid for PSG defender Mamadou Sakho.
TMW says AC Milan, Arsenal and Juventus are also thought to be keen on the player, and the Reds are the latest club to consider a January move for the player.
Liverpool are looking for a solid centre back following an unconvincing start to the season, and with new owners NESV set to provide the manager with a transfer war chest in January it appears that Sakho is a viable option at Anfield.
A striker is thought to be the priority on Merseyside, with Liverpool keen to find a foil for Fernando Torres at the first opportunity.
However, the former Fulham boss is thought to have shortlisted 'five or six' players for potential moves, and Liverpool are set to be busy in the opening month of 2011.
