Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was in tears after being forced off during their Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
The Egyptian went down clutching his left shoulder after a tussle with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
Salah received treatment on the pitch but attempted to play on after getting the green light from Anfield medical staff.
However, the former Roma forward was unable to continue and looked visibly distraught as he trudged off the field of play moments later.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp later confirmed Salah's World Cup could be over due to the injury.
Klopp said: “It's a serious injury, a really serious injury.
“He is in the hospital for an X-ray. It's either the collarbone or the shoulder itself. It doesn't look good, that's it."
