Senegal boss Aliou Cisse heaped praise on Sadio Mane following his goal-scoring performance in the 2-0 win over Zimbabwe in their Group B match at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Liverpool winger scored in the ninth minute to give his side a 1-0 lead in the game, before Henri Saivet added a second four minutes later.

The win ensured Senegal's progression into the quarter-finals of the tournament thanks to goals in both wins from Mane.

"What Mane has is a gift from god," Cisse said after the game.

"I'm not the one who has helped to lift his level or who makes him the person he is.

"Of course it's good for him to be in the team he is in at the moment, a team that gives him opportunities to improve, and he just needs to carry on what he's doing."
