Liverpool are eyeing Espanyol prospect Marc Roca.
Espanyol coach Quique Sanchez Flores has promoted the midfielder to his first team squad and plans are underway to hand him a new deal.
Marca says Roca's emergence has sparked the interest of English clubs, where Liverpool and Southampton are keen.
The youngster's current contract carries a knockdown buyout clause of €1.5 million and Espanyol chief Robert Ramon is eager to upgrade terms.
For the moment, Roca has intimated a willingness to stay.
However, seeing the progress of Pedro Chirivella at Liverpool has turned the youngster's head.
