Former Arsenal striker John Hartson has slammed Liverpool's swoop for Danny Ings.

The 23-year-old has played just 29 minutes of Premier League football so far this term, and Hartson has asked what the point in signing him was.

He told talkSPORT: "You look at Liverpool, and how much did they need Danny Ings?

"They signed him for a free, but what's the point? Danny Ings has hardly kicked a ball for Liverpool."
