Liverpool skipper Gerrard warns Man City Cup tie not over
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has warned their Carling Cup semi with Manchester City isn't over after this week's first-leg win at Etihad.
While delighted to hold a one-goal advantage to take into the second leg at Anfield in a fortnight's time, Gerrard insists the tie is far from over.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "It was a great performance. That's what we wanted to do - come here, try and get a clean sheet and a goal.
"But there is no way this tie is over. We know we're in for a very tough match in two weeks' time, so the job is half done.
"The tie is finely balanced and it's set up for a cracking match at Anfield. I thought we were the better side in the first half and they were the better side in the second half, but there is still 90 minutes to play.
"I am sure it will be a cracker at Anfield. It's only advantage us, it's still not over."

LFC is a club of the pass whereas Man City is the club of the future. LFC is poor club which is good in watching TV to win trophy. Man City billions will drown you. Man City will swallow your BUS in Anfield. Queen Kenny so scared to play attacking football. We know how to rip your bus apart in 2 weeks time. LFC win nothing :D
Dream on 'our kid'. With an attitude like that you'll never achieve the kind of history and glory we have enjoyed. Just like Abramovich your boss will get antse when in 5 years, 2 billion pounds, hundreds on Mancini moans about lack of depth in the squad later, your still tying to win the Champions League.
We have no doubt city are now a power house, we welcome you with Tottenham,Arsenal,United,Chelsea,Lfc and City- it makes for an even better league.
The Prem is the best!!...... but Barca still play the best.
Viva Lfc!
Our billions will blow you midtable team away. Watch out. You have lost your champion league place for many many years. Poor club. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha..........
