Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard insists two Cups means success at Anfield.
The Reds face Everton in the FA Cup semifinal with the prospect of the Blues finishing above them in the league.
But Gerrard says: "Everyone is frustrated about how we have done in the league, we won't hide that fact.
"But if this team delivers two cup finals in one season, it will be a major success. The experience of the Carling Cup can help us going into another big game.
"I don't think we played well against Cardiff and sometimes when you go to Wembley you have to forget the occasion and focus on the game in hand.
"We might have been guilty of thinking of the occasion so we will learn from that and hopefully it can help us."
