Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard admits it's been one of the greatest weeks he's had in football.

After beating Manchester United on Saturday and Real Madrid as well last Tuesday, Gerrard cannot remember a better week for him personally.

He declared: "This has been a fantastic week. I am not sure if there has been a better week in my Liverpool career.

"We have comfortably beaten Real Madrid at home with a superb performance and then gone to Old Trafford and comfortably beaten Manchester United. It was a fantastic win."
