Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard hailed their strike-pair after victory in the FA Cup semifinal against Everton.

Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll were both on the scoreheet in the 2-1 win.

"They were two good performances from them and they showed what they are all about," Gerrard told the Liverpool Echo. "We have got every faith in them as a partnership. They showed us again that if they are playing together they will deliver.

"We're all happy for Andy to get the winner. He's a good player and he's proved on the big stage what he's capable of. He proved all his critics wrong. He was superb for us and he has been every time he's been called upon.

"I'm sure he'll deliver for us again in the final if called upon. If we go on and win this cup we can look at the season as a success as far as the cups are concerned."
