Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has hailed manager Brendan Rodgers for having the "bottle" to play the kids.
Rodgers handed 19-year-old Andre Wisdom and Suso, 18, their first starts in the Prem along with 17-year-old veteran Raheem Sterling for victory at Norwich City.
Gerrard said: "A lot of people talk about academies and players coming through the system, but you still need a manager who has the bottle and puts his neck on the line by giving them a chance.
"The manager has done that from day one - he said to them if they show the right attitude and application in training, he would give them a chance and they are doing well.
"We have a good mix, and as senior players we will help guide them and show them the right way."
