Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will be fit for Wednesday night's Champions League clash with Chelsea.

A groin problem was believed to have Gerrard in doubt for the first leg but a successful training session has seen him pass with flying colours and he will be unleashed on the Chelsea defence.

Gerrard's recent form has been a major part of Liverpool's challenge for the title this season and will go a long way to seeing them progress in Europe.
