Steven Gerrard may miss as many as six weeks with a hamstring injury.

The Liverpool skipper sustained the problem in Saturday's 4-1 win over West Ham United and is set to be sidelined for at least four weeks and up to six.

While out of action, the England captain will be absent for vital Premier League fixtures with Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea in what is a major blow as the second-placed Reds seek to stay up the top of the table.
