Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is feeling strong after recovering from shoulder surgery earlier this year.
He played the first half of the 2-0 win over an Indonesian XI and is set for an even longer run-out on Wednesday against Melbourne Victory.
Gerrard, who missed the last two matches of the season because of the long- standing problem, said: "For my own confidence, it's important I get games under my belt before the first game against Stoke.
"It was nice to get the 45 minutes. Hopefully, I'll get more in Australia."
