Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has banned wife Alex from the World Cup.
England manager Roy Hodgson, 66, has given the players permission to take WAGs to the tournament.
But Gerrard branded players' wives and girlfriends "a distraction".
He said: "I thought it was bit of a distraction in 2006.
"So in 2010, when I set off for the World Cup, I preferred for my family to be away from me and I could focus on trying to get my form right. I will doing the same again in Brazil."
