Liverpool have made it clear that captain Steven Gerrard will be ready to join the group for the start of preseason training.
The England midfielder is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery on a troublesome shoulder with reports suggesting he would miss most of June and July.
However, the Reds have released a statement saying that Gerrard will be fine to start training when it commences next month.
"The club can report that Gerrard's recovery remains fully on track," read the statement from Anfield.
"As stated originally, the club's medical team are confident that the midfielder is on schedule for his comeback and expect Gerrard to be fit and ready for pre-season training."
