Liverpool have shifted their focus to Sadio Mane after missing out on Mario Gotze.
The Guardian is reporting that the Reds are pondering a summer move for the Southampton forward after it became apparent that Gotze was set to stay with Bayern Munich.
Jurgen Klopp wants a speedy, agile attacker who can compliment his high-pressing game and it is believed that Mane, 24, fits the bill.
The Senegal international is also a target for Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur but Liverpool have joined them in their pursuit.
Klopp was hoping to reunite with Germany international Gotze at Anfield but with his former Borussia Dortmund ace likely to stay put in Munich, the Reds boss will set his sights on Mane who scored 15 goals in all competitions for the Saints last season.
