Liverpool set up multi-player swap deal for Bolton defender Cahill

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is closing in on a deal for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill.

The Sun says Dalglish has spent all summer chasing the defender, who is also wanted by Arsenal.

Dalglish is poised to offer £10million plus striker David Ngog and young hitman Raheem Sterling, 16, on loan to clinch Cahill's signature.

Dalglish faces stiff competition for Cahill from Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has £40m to spend after the sale of Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona.
