Liverpool will see off Tottenham to land Rangers defender Danny Wilson this week.

The Daily Mail says Liverpool expect to sign Wilson over the next 48 hours.

Tottenham had shown interest in the 18-year-old but Liverpool have increased their offer to £2.5million and hope to ratify the deal early this week.

Centre half Wilson, voted Scotland's young player of the year, has only one year left on contract and had refused a new deal.
