Liverpool management are ready to settle on centre-half as Victor Palsson's long-term position.

The young Icelander joined Liverpool last January and has featured at fullback and in midfield for the Reds reserves.

However, coach John McMahon believes centre-half could be Palsson's long-term future.

"We think that could be his position because he is an athlete and has a good range of passing," he told liverpoolfc.tv.
