A French-based Liverpool scout admits he's been watching Olympique Marseille wing-back Boubacar Kamara.

However, the unnamed talent spotter says Kamara is more likely to go to Southampton than the Reds.

He told Le Phoceen: "Kamara is perhaps still a little risky for the very very high level, as in the penalty conceded against Rennes.

"It's not his fault, but in a top club we do not forgive him. He must still progress in his concentration for 90 minutes, which is normal considering his age. But a top club cannot afford to wait.

"For now, Kamara does not have the level for Liverpool, but in the meantime, will he go to Southampton or will he stay at OM?"
