Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has pulled out of Spain's squad for the upcoming Euro2012 qualifers against Lithuania and Scotland.
Torres had to be subbed off the pitch early in Liverpool's 2-1 loss to Blackpool on Sunday because of a groin injury and will not take part in the internationals says Reds boss Roy Hodgson.
"He has a groin strain, but I don't know how severe it is," he said. "They (the medical team) are assessing it at the moment. It happened early in the game which came as a surprise to us."
