Liverpool's Sterling looking forward to big Merseyside derby

Raheem Sterling says derby day on Merseyside for Liverpool and Everton is the most important fixture of the season. The 18 year old is in contention to play some part this weekend and admits he would relish the opportunity to experience a home derby.

Sterling told Sky Sports News HD: "People say the Man Uniteds and the Arsenals are big games but when it comes to Everton, they are the biggest because we're obviously from the same city and both sets of fans are at it.

"When I played at Goodison, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

"It's just the passion from both sides of the city. Obviously the red side is the one that we want to win, but the passion from both sides and the players is one of the best things you'll ever see in the game."
