An image of Raheem Sterling smoking a shisha pipe has emerged on social media.

The Daily Star published the picture of the Liverpool young gun with his lips wrapped around an orange pipe with the accompanying text: '1 down another 3 to go'.

It is another negative news story involving 20-year old Sterling who recently appeared on the BBC to speak of his contract situation at Anfield.

Reports suggest Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will publically comment on Sterling's actions prior to Monday night's clash with Newcastle United.

The England international is not the first player to be photographed with a shish pipe this year. Arsenal's Jack Wilshere was seen with a similar apparatus during a night out in February.
