Liverpool's Salah 'the signing of the season' – Higginbotham

When Liverpool signed Mohamed Salah in the summer, there was some doubt about whether the Egyptian could justify his price tag.

While Salah showed plenty of end product in Serie A, his previous stint in England was hardly a resounding success.

But it appears his time in Italy helped to improve Salah's game, as he has begun the current season firing on all cylinders.

And pundit Danny Higginbotham, an ex-Manchester United player, believes that Salah is the signing of the summer.

"He has been unbelievable," said Higginbotham. "He has got to be the buy of the season for the price he has gone for."

Salah already has five goals in six Champions League appearances, along with 12 goals in 13 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League. He is Liverpool's top scorer and biggest goal threat.

The Egyptian was signed by Liverpool from Roma in the summer for a fee that exceeded 34 million pounds.
