Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admits his starting line-up has been compromised ahead of Tuesday night's Merseyside derby with Everton.
The Reds will be without midfielder Lucas Leiva as well as defenders Glen Johnson, Daniel Agger, Mamadou Sakho and Jose Enrique for the Anfield meeting and Rodgers admits the amount of key players missing may affect the standard of the contest.
"There are still going to be quality players and the football ideas of both teams will come out, but it is unfortunate a number of players are out of the game - and a lot of them starting players - it would've made it a different game," said Rodgers.
"It is unfortunate both teams are coming into the game with not the strongest squads because both have picked up injuries."
The last time the two sides met, in December, Daniel Sturridge scored a late goal to allow the Reds to force a 3-3 draw at Goodison Park.
