Liverpool's Rodgers - 'Once we hit form we will be alright!

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is targeting a strong second half of the season after they moved back into the top half of the table on Sunday.

The Reds managed a come-from-behind 3-2 victory at West Ham United after going in front through Glen Johnson in the 11th minute which saw them shift up to 10th on the back of a third win in five outings.

According to many critics, the Anfield club have not begun the campaign all that well but now Rodgers can sense things are turning for his side and is looking for more consistent results in the second part of the term.

"It's a very tight league this season," he said.

"It's more about how you finish than how you start. We've supposedly had a bad season, so once we hit form we will be alright!

"It's a brilliant win for us today. Sam Allardyce has done a terrific job here and made it very difficult for teams coming here.

"I thought my players were brilliant. I thought we thoroughly deserved it in the end, some of our play was outstanding."
