Liverpool have confirmed that Christian Poulsen has joined French Ligue 1 newcomers Evian Thonon Gaillard.
The Denmark international midfielder has been deemed surplus to requirements by Kenny Dalglish and has now joined Evian but the length of the deal is yet unknown.
Poulsen landed at Anfield from Juventus last summer when Roy Hodgson was in charge of the Reds but he has hardly been used by Dalglish and will now make his way to Annecy with last season's Ligue 2 champions.
A short statement on Liverpool's official website read: "Liverpool have today confirmed that Christian Poulsen has completed his transfer to Evian Thonon Gaillard.
"The Danish midfielder moves to the French side after making 21 appearances in just over a year at Anfield.
"Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to wish Christian the best of luck with his future career."
