Liverpool youngster Marc Pelosi has had successful surgery on his broken right leg sustained on Monday.
The 18-year old American midfielder suffered a clean break of his fibula in the Reds' U21 win over West Bromwich Albion and will now begin the road to recovery after undergoing an operation.
"Marc had his operation last night on his broken leg," a Liverpool press spokesman told MLSsoccer.com. "The surgeon is delighted with the operation. We all wish Marc a speedy recovery."
It is expected that Pelosi, a USA U20 international, will be sidelined for around six months.
