Liverpool's Adam Lallana has admitted he was pleased Premier League rivals Tottenham enjoyed a good season under Mauricio Pochettino.
Despite Liverpool's season ultimately ending in failure, Lallana was pleased Pochettino, whom he worked with at Southampton, managed to prove his worth at White Hart Lane.
"I follow Tottenham closely because my old manager is there and I have a good relationship with him still," he told the Mirror.
"I was delighted they had a good season. It is no coincidence he continues producing young England players. It shows what a top manager he is.
"I've known that ever since I started working with him. He uses it as a philosophy that if you train hard, the game almost feels easier," Lallana added.
