Liverpool's Johnson urges England to produce best in Brazil

Glen Johnson believes England are good enough to progress through the rounds at the 2014 World Cup provided they qualify.

The Three Lions have struggled at major tournaments for a long time now and the Liverpool full-back sees 2014 in Brazil as the perfect time to arrest that hoodoo.

"With the squad we have got we can definitely do better in a major tournament," he said.

"In each game there are tiny little elements that decide each game.

"A matter of inches can determine if you win, but ratio-wise we have been generally going out around the quarter-final stages so you certainly do want to improve on that."
