Liverpool's Johnson desperate to win another FA Cup medal

Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is determined to win a replacement FA Cup winners medal after his last one was stolen.

The England full-back was part of the Portsmouth side which took out the 2008 FA Cup but his medal was pinched by thieves when he placed it in his bag at the hotel.

Johnson admits he got a new one made but is looking to achieve success when the Reds step out against his former club Chelsea on Saturday.

"The whole build up is fantastic," he said.

"But yes, me and Jamie Ashdown had our medals stolen.

"After the final the club had booked a meal and a night out for everybody.

"When we went back to the hotel before the meal, we put our medals in our rooms, and I hid mine in a bag, in another bag, in another bag, but we got back and I woke up the next morning and it wasn't there.

"Thankfully they made us another one. That one's in a safe place!"
