According to reports Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is on the brink of finalising an 18-month deal to join Los Angeles Galaxy. An announcement is expected this week.
The 34-year-old will sign a contract worth around £4m per year, making him one of the highest earners in the MLS. He will be available to play once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of June.
Gerrard will join up with former Liverpool teammate Robbie Keane in LA.
While MLS has a salary cap structure, each club has three 'Designated Player' places which they can use to sign star players.
