Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard lasted just five minutes of yesterday morning's training session with the England squad. The midfielder appeared to have a recurrence of the groin injury that has been plaguing him for some time.
The 29-year old was not expected to play in Wednesday night's final World Cup qualifier against Belarus after being substituted at half-time of Saturday's clash with Ukraine due to groin soreness.
After limping out of national team training, it appears that Gerrard may not be out for Liverpool's important clash with Sunderland in the Premier League this weekend.
