Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has rated Mark Viduka as the best player he has ever played with.
28-year old Downing played alongside the Australian great at Middlesbrough between 2004 and 2007 and took the liberty of naming him above the likes of other teammates such as Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez.
"I'd probably say Mark Viduka (was the best). Just his presence, his goals and all-round ability," wrote Downing on a Twitter chat with fans on Liverpool's official account.
During his career, Viduka played with Croatia Zagreb, Celtic, Leeds United, Boro and Newcastle United as well as making 43 appearances for Australia.
